About Judy Andrus Toporcer

Judy Andrus Toporcer

The artist who draws, paints or sculpts may use imagination to create a reality; the photographer must take her art from the absolute reality of her surroundings.

My work is not so much the work of then hands, but rather the work of the eye finding a small piece of that reality, seeing it from a unique point of view, and capturing it at one instant in time. I hope to make the viewer think, sometimes smile, and always feel that he or she is seeing something exceptional or extraordinary found close at hand in the everyday.

My photographic career began over forty years ago. A recent convert to digital, I bring a wizened eye to the exciting possibilities offered by modern technology. I hope you enjoy sharing the things I see.
