I have the pleasure of a creative partnership with a wonderful poet and artist named Becky. This photograph was inspired by the following poem from March 25, 2007:

Confirmatory

Confirmatory,
the evidence is here,
a friend used the word,
and it is all dictionaried-up,
(no, that is not a word,
I just fabricated some letters,
and put them to no good use)
but, I digress.
It is official, confirmatory support
has been provided,
it is used, and written down,
yet, I laughed,
and made a joke.
We shouldn’t be surprised
some words make us laugh,
when so many words
have been found to make us cry.

Nice shot not only the picture's composition and light using. The 'confirmantory' under the class with your poem lead us to understand more the meaning of this capture ;-) Smart!

@Death: Thank you for your comments and the offer to send a dictionary link - but I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to begin with the symbols/letters. I did a Google search for "babylon dictionary" and "arabic translation", but not knowing your alphabet makes the idea of translating quite daunting. I guess it is what we call "wishful thinking" to want to read that which I can not. By the way, I have looked at work by a number of Iranians on Aminus3 - seems to be all men - and many good photographers. Most do landscapes or urban scenes, which are interesting and often beautiful. Your work is "edgy", unique, thought-provoking, a bit disturbing at times, and totally interesting and perfectly shot. To present work in one tone scale, the work must be exceptional, and I think you do that well.

I hope my English is understandable for you!

for my suggestion:
If you use windows (not mac) use this way to install persian language:
control panel -> regional and language option -> in tab 2 (languages -> in supermental languges support box -> select install files for complex script ...... -> then in advanced tab -> in languages for non-unicode program box -> select farsi -> then click on apply and then ok button. now wait a minute and now have a farsi languages.
I'll mail the babylon 7.0 (farsi support) program for you and after install this program you can insert the persian text in to this and translate the text! english to farsi and farsi to english!

@Death: Hey, many thanks, Death! (Egads, I'm corresponding with Death...) ; ) My oldest friend in the world is from Turkey, and many many years ago he gave my parents a Turkish plate with Persian(?) writing on it. It hangs on my wall now. Maybe I will be able to translate it!
