Paddler's Delight

Posted by Judy Andrus Toporcer (Colton, United States) on 31 May 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

My husband enjoys some quiet moments in a tiny bay far up the St. Regis River; our snack of fresh cherries awaits his awakening. We paddled for over four hours and did not see another human being.

We live on the northern edge of the Adirondack Mountains, a paddler's paradise. Bless the wisdom of those who thought to "preserve" much of this part of the State, and damn those who seek to develop it. (Hey, it's my birthday and I can get on a soap-box if I want to)!

Welcome to my view of the world, sometimes seasoned with a strange sense of humor; sharpened by age. I hope you enjoy the things I see.
