We took our grandson to the BioDome in Montreal last weekend. It's a great place (though pretty low light for photographing anything moving...). At the end of the day, when most visitors had left, the wildlife began to emerge from the shadows. This roseate spoonbill seemed harmless enough, and he pretty much ignored me - until apparently I got just a little too bold... WHACK!!! That curved beak tried to take a chunk out of my camera! Luckily all he got hold of was the lens hood, so no harm was done.
Welcome to my view of the world, sometimes seasoned with a strange sense of humor; sharpened by age. I hope you enjoy the things I see.

Amazing that you managed to capture this before it grabbed the lens hood! Great shot!

Nice framing and composition, Judy. From this angle, he looks like something from the Jurassic period. Boy, you keep tempting fate with your cameras. First, lakes trying to do in your cameras, now birds. :) Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.

@ Russ - There are real dangers in seeing the world through a camera lens - I tend to forget where my feet are going! And yes, apparently to be my camera is a perilous existence. ; )
