The Mount

This statue is in the courtyard at the entrance to Edith Wharton's home, "The Mount", near Tanglewood, Massachusetts. Since my visit here in 2007, the place has fallen on difficult financial times, and its continued accessibility by the public is questionable. The home is lovely, and of a forward-thinking and pleasant design. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and boast gorgeous large formal gardens.

Welcome to my view of the world, sometimes seasoned with a strange sense of humor; sharpened by age. I hope you enjoy the things I see.
